I hope you have a minute to go and read this totally awesome essay by the incomparable Ursula K. LeGuin on the topic of swearing, its cultural development, and the modern use of the words "fuck" and "shit." Hilarious and insightful, it's entitled "Would You Please Fucking Stop?"
