Those are awesome! Oh the number of jokes out there about fantasy women's armor. The only way that armor would even work would be magic. Those pictures make so much more sense. Some of it is gorgeous, too.
There was an interview I read with a Marvel Comics writer talking about the costumes female superheroes wear, compared to their male counterparts. The writer noted that a superhero who is invulnerable can afford to wear next-to-nothing in combat. For the superheroes who are NOT invulnerable, head-to-toe body armour was his advice...because superheroing (like dragonslaying) is a very DANGEROUS activity.
